Welcome to Serenity Academy's wellness education platform. By accessing or using our services, enrolling in our courses, or participating in our educational programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Serenity Academy regarding your use of our wellness education services, course materials, and platform features.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our platform or enroll in our programs. Your continued use of our services indicates your acceptance of these terms and any future modifications we may make to them. We encourage you to review these terms carefully before beginning your wellness education journey with us.

Educational Services Description

Serenity Academy provides comprehensive wellness education programs including yoga instructor training, nutrition science certification, and mental health first aid courses. Our services include online learning materials, interactive coursework, instructor guidance, practical training components, assessment tools, certification upon successful completion, and ongoing student support throughout your educational journey.

Our educational programs are designed to meet professional standards and provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue careers in the wellness industry. However, we cannot guarantee specific employment outcomes, income levels, or career advancement as a result of completing our programs. Your success depends on various factors including your dedication, local market conditions, and how you apply the knowledge gained through our courses.

Account Registration and Responsibilities

To access our wellness education programs, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and current information about yourself. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breaches.

You represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you are enrolling in courses that require physical activity or have health considerations, you acknowledge that you are physically capable of participating or will seek appropriate medical clearance before beginning such programs.

Account Security

You agree to use a strong, unique password for your account and to keep your login credentials secure. You should not share your account access with others, as this may compromise the integrity of your educational progress and certification process. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that show signs of unauthorized access or misuse.

Course Enrollment and Payment Terms

Course enrollment becomes effective upon payment confirmation and acceptance of these terms. All course fees are stated in Sri Lankan Rupees and must be paid in full before accessing course materials, unless you have enrolled in an approved payment plan. Payment plans, when available, require adherence to scheduled payment dates and may include additional administrative fees.

Course fees are non-refundable after the specified refund period, which varies by program but is clearly stated at the time of enrollment. If you withdraw from a course within the refund period, we will process your refund according to our refund policy, minus any applicable processing fees. Refunds are typically processed within 14 business days of approval.

Payment Methods and Processing

We accept various payment methods including bank transfers, credit cards, and digital payment platforms commonly used in Sri Lanka. All payment processing is handled through secure, encrypted systems to protect your financial information. You are responsible for any fees charged by your bank or payment provider in connection with your course payments.

Intellectual Property Rights

All course materials, including but not limited to videos, written content, exercises, assessments, graphics, audio recordings, and interactive elements, are the exclusive property of Serenity Academy or our licensed content providers. These materials are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use these materials solely for your personal educational purposes.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of our course materials without our prior written consent. This includes sharing course content with non-enrolled individuals, posting materials on social media or other platforms, or using our content for commercial purposes outside of your own wellness practice.

Student-Generated Content

When you submit assignments, participate in discussions, or create content as part of your coursework, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use, modify, and display such content for educational purposes within our platform. This may include using exemplary student work as teaching examples for future courses, with appropriate anonymization when requested.

Code of Conduct and Academic Integrity

As a student in our wellness education programs, you agree to maintain high standards of academic integrity and professional conduct. This includes completing assignments independently unless collaboration is specifically permitted, properly attributing sources when required, respecting the intellectual property of others, and treating fellow students, instructors, and staff with courtesy and respect.

Violations of academic integrity include but are not limited to plagiarism, cheating on assessments, falsifying information, or misrepresenting your qualifications or progress. Such violations may result in course failure, dismissal from the program, or revocation of certifications already earned. We take academic integrity seriously as it directly impacts the value and credibility of our certifications.

Professional Standards

Our programs prepare you for professional roles in the wellness industry, and we expect students to demonstrate the ethical standards and professional behavior appropriate for these careers. This includes maintaining confidentiality when appropriate, respecting diverse perspectives and backgrounds, and upholding the values of holistic wellness in your interactions within our educational community.

Certification and Continuing Education

Upon successful completion of course requirements, including passing all required assessments and meeting attendance standards, you will receive a certificate recognizing your achievement. Our certifications are designed to meet industry standards and may be recognized by professional organizations, though we cannot guarantee acceptance by all employers or regulatory bodies.

Some certifications may require continuing education to maintain their validity. When applicable, we will provide information about continuing education requirements and may offer advanced courses or refresher programs to help you maintain your certification status. You are responsible for meeting any continuing education requirements specified by professional organizations or regulatory bodies in your area.

Platform Usage and Restrictions

You may access our platform using personal devices and standard web browsers. You agree not to use any automated systems, bots, or other technological means to access our platform in ways that could interfere with its normal operation or other users' experiences. You also agree not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our system or to compromise the security of our platform.

Our platform is intended for educational purposes related to wellness and personal development. You may not use our services for any illegal activities, to promote harmful content, or in ways that could damage our reputation or the learning environment for other students. We reserve the right to monitor platform usage and take appropriate action when necessary to maintain a positive educational environment.

Limitation of Liability

While we strive to provide high-quality educational services, we cannot guarantee that our platform will be available at all times or that it will meet all of your specific needs. Our liability is limited to the amount you have paid for our services. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our platform or services.

Our wellness education programs include information about health and wellness practices, but this information is for educational purposes only and should not be considered medical advice. You should consult with qualified healthcare professionals before making significant changes to your health practices or if you have specific medical conditions that might be affected by wellness activities.

Service Modifications and Termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services with reasonable notice to enrolled students. In the event of significant service changes that affect your enrolled courses, we will provide appropriate alternatives or refunds as warranted. We may also update our course content periodically to reflect current best practices and industry developments.

We may terminate your access to our services if you violate these terms, engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to other students or our platform, or fail to meet payment obligations. In cases of termination for cause, refunds may not be available. We will provide reasonable notice of termination when possible and appropriate.

Dispute Resolution

We are committed to resolving any disputes or concerns you may have about our services through open communication and fair processes. If you have a complaint or concern, we encourage you to contact our student support team first to seek a resolution. Most issues can be resolved through direct communication and our internal review processes.

For disputes that cannot be resolved through our internal processes, both parties agree to attempt resolution through mediation before pursuing other legal remedies. Any legal proceedings will be conducted according to the laws of Sri Lanka, and you consent to the jurisdiction of Sri Lankan courts for any legal matters arising from these terms or your use of our services.

Updates to Terms of Use

We may update these Terms of Use periodically to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make significant changes, we will notify enrolled students through our platform or other communication channels. Continued use of our services after notification of changes indicates your acceptance of the updated terms.

We encourage you to review these terms regularly to stay informed about your rights and responsibilities as a student in our wellness education programs. If you disagree with any changes to our terms, you may discontinue using our services, though this may affect your ability to complete ongoing courses.
